Nvu: Open Source Web Authoring System

Finally! A complete Web Authoring System for Linux Desktop users as well as Microsoft Windows and Macintosh users to rival programs like FrontPage and Dreamweaver.

Nvu (pronounced N-view, for a "new view") makes managing a web site a snap. Now anyone can create web pages and manage a website with no technical expertise or knowledge of HTML.

New Announcement June 28, 2005:
Nvu 1.0 is now available for download. To download the installation files for available platforms visit the download section.

there are a few other things kinda like that, most ive seen were components for dreamweaver. ive met a few people who did client work, then trained their clients to use them to keep things up to date after that

Nvu accepts extentions similar to Mozila Firefox. I was wondering if someone could write an extention for it to build Templates for Pixelpost. The extention could have sample enteries like main image, thumbnails, image note, comments, and etc included beside added Pixelpost Tags. People then could write Templates very easily and test it on fly.

So from now on you use Nvu for hacking Pixelpost and making your addons?
I prefer Notepad++ for Windows or Scite for Linux.
Simple programes with a good "highlight". I'm not sure if that is the right word. What I mean is the different colours for the different kinds of code ($var, tag, funcion, etc).
It gives me the feeling that I have controle over the code.

Hey, if you are looking for a really nice little editor try this out one. It's called Metapad. Very functional.

it's not an editor. it's something similar to frontpage.

for development I stick to my TextPad )
I was wondering about a WYSIWYG template editor for PP out of Nvu
