Snowflowers
A few week ago I made some photo's in the snow. Four of them I publiced on my website and this one I like the most.
Click on the thumbnail to see the whole photo ![]() I could made the photo's B/W, but there are so less colours in the photo's that I think it is not necessary. What do you think?

Nice! Just a thought - I wonder what it would be like of you reduced the noise. This can be done in photoshop or try shareware from (http://www.imagenomic.com). My only worry is less noise will reduce some of the fine detail, but it may be worth experimenting.

that's a nice shot
i do agree it is a bit noisy though... can't offer any advice on how to get rid of it though, since i have no idea myself ^^ i just tend not to shoot at high iso's.i get a lot of hits on my site from this image... http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?im...w%3D1%26sa%3DN the page isn't there any more though, it used to be like 2nd or 3rd in google image search when it was. i used to have an old install of wordpress there, wordpress seems to be good at getting things high in search rankings. the photo can now be seen here on my pixelpost http://plog.jetpad.co.uk/index.php?showimage=15now i just need to wait for this page to get up there in the search rankings... what colour should the shadows/texture in the snow look? i tend to tweak mine so that it looks blueish. |

i like it. the noise doesn't bother me - and anyway, you shoot analogue still don't you?
your favourite is certainly my favourite from those in the snow. i haven't got much criticism on this though - i'm not in a very critical mood. i like how the perfect white lays over the darkest area of blurred background.
