another n00b

another pixelpost n00b here. I'd appreciate any feedback on photos and the tweaks I make to joe[y]'s lightwhitetwo template:

www.subneural.com

TIA

It would be easier for everyone if you gave a small list of tweaks you made

i like what you've done with the template - it's nice to see somebody actually making proper use of the menu for once - i'm glad it works fine!

I like the scene of this photo http://www.subneural.com/index.php?showimage=5

The photo would be better and more exciting if you place the subject out of the middle. (Is this sence correct English??)

I have to agree with eon... "hope" is a really nice shot - nice warmth for a desolate scene, but it would be a potentially great shot if the light and payphone were shifted left or right. (I'd personally prefer right...) - Of course, rules are made to be broken, but this photo might benefit from that one. :-)

"golden christmas" is a fun shot.

"brody" is a darn cute dog...

I like the layout - Joe[y]'s lightwhitetwo is in the running for the template that I start editing off of when I move off the default template. I haven't compared them enough to know what you tweaked.

sorry for the late reply (working nights...). The minor tweaks are:

Adding navigation (prev, next) to the menu bar
Adding exif info below the photo
Removing the click-thru on current photo (normally linked to previous photo)
Added image_notes below the exif info.

Thanks! I would have liked to framed this shot differently. The only thing is, a very busy road runs along one side, and a highway runs along the other! In order to recompose, a lot more of modern society would have been visible!

I'm going to work on some interesting crops in photoshop to see what I can come up with :-)

Thanks everyone for your critiqes!
