moderating comments

I'm getting an inordinate amount of spamming comments. Is there a way to force comments to be moderated before they go live? Some of these spams are pages long and take up a huge amount of space in the comments section and I'd like to have control over them messing up the look of my pages.

Thanks!

Dawn, this is a special problem in the moment.

I made a change that people have to enter some special code first before they can enter a comment, you could try it out at:

http://www.bildgier.de/commentspam/

if you are interested in it, I can send it to you
it is not quite ready in the moment as it still sends email even when somebody will not be able to enter a comment, but I will change this soon...

your whish to have comments waiting in a queue until they are checked by the admin in the moment is not realised in the moment

sorry I will not be able to post it before Friday because I am not at home, I am working at a client's office in another city and will have no guaranteed internet access for the next days

so I suggest to switch comments off in the moment

I uploaded my stop-commentspam-modification which is still BETA but it works to the download-library:

http://www.pixelpost.org/index.php?x...amp;details=43

there is documentation how to implement it.

it uses an additional script to create the captcha-image...
