Farmhouse Exterior and Interior

Took some photos at an old abandoned farm house this saturday. The house was from the late 1800's and was tilting, rotting, and decaying. Enjoyed the walk through the home but didnt take too many photos. I only had about 10 but I particularly liked these two, and was wondering if anyone would care to review, critique these. Usually get good feedback here. In advance, thanks.

The desk shot... wow - you just can't fake dirt and decay like that. Interesting shot.

The exterior shot is really nice. B/W was the right choice for this - it's timeless and fits this. I like the shot being more on the trees with the house in the background though hopefully you took a few of the house in more detail.

i really like both of these. the first one is genuinely eerie. i had just watched the texas chainsaw massacre when i looked at it, i now have the association of a deserted house inhabited by killer inbreds - which makes it all the more eerie. i think if there was more definition in the foreground - more detail / sharpness in the leaves - it would look even better.

you captured the light very well in the second, looks great.

Thank you both for the comments. I wasnt sure about the 1st shot, I kinda feel like its missing something. With the 2nd shot I thought about going in for a tighter crop but wanted to show alot of the floor as well. Thanks again

I'd like to see the barn a little more to the left, more revealed I guess...but i do dig it...

the desk shot might work better a notch more loose, mostly some space at the top ver the back part of the chair. I dig it too though...revisiting that room in some super awesome light would be cool

the desk shot is awesome. great composition and gritty. The trees and barn is not up to the quality of the desk photo. It seems like there are so many things going on that I'm not sure where the focus is. Is it the trees at the top or is it the barn that is hidden behind. Maybe if it were cropped a bit at the top, it would help. Otherwise my eye is going straight up and off the page. But still nice exposure, etc.

thanks for the critiques. The area is really overgrown and I agree about seeing more house, but Ive got to figure out a different spot.
