Upload Error

Hi,

I have a problem to upload my pictures. I allways get this message:


Warning: move_uploaded_file(../images/20060131143900_11.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /u/user6/php/a0404386/admin/new_image.php on line 168

1) Copy and past content of General info
2) Check if you set CHMOD 777 for images and thumbnails directories

when i set chmod to 777 it changes autom. back to 700.

what do mean "Copy and past content of General info"

Image Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES.

Thumbnails Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES.

Language Directory: OK

Addons Directory: OK

Includes Directory: OK

Templates Directory: OK

Host Information

Image Directory: OK - Thumbnails folder not writable! You must set correct permissions on this folder or you will not be able to upload any images.
Set the folder to chmod 777 (read, write and execute permissions for owner, group and world). CHMOD: 2755

Thumbnails Directory: OK - CHMOD: 2755

Language Directory: OK

Addons Directory: OK

that's weird - i'm pretty sure we only separeted admin pages in 1.5 but apparently you are using 1.4 - did you try doing an upgrade at sometime cause it might have gone wrong?

anyway, the problem is certainly the chmod on the thumbnails folder. it is 2755 which is wrong. it should be 777 - you can do this through something like www.smartftp.com

I assume there is some kind of "wrapper" installed, that users cannot set directories to "777"

ask your hoster about any restrictions and how to install
