Ice Ice Ba....
Hi all,
I'm new to Pixelpost and the whole photoblog thing so I thought I'd post an image from it I'm not sure about it. I've had mixed reactions about it. So critiques are always welcome. http://www.philson.net/index.php?showimage=34 Cheers

Not bad - although the line of cracked ice tends to lead the eye out of the frame to the right...
Just my 2 cents. As for the blog itself - not seen that collage page idea before. Cool! Where'd you get that? Is it your own thing? Do you know your comments, view comments, thumbnails and info links (left hand side of your pages) are all broken? Take it easy, Dave. |

In IE - the links on the left work properly, but overlap the photo. Also - when the items pop on the right hand side those also overlap the photo making comments generally unreadable unless I highlight them. Running in 1024x768 mode. This probably looks perfect on my home computer which I have at a higher resolution... The show/hide comments/index/etc. items look very cool - but might need a bit more testing on various platforms.
As far as the photo goes - I like it - though I like many of your other photos better. Tunnel of Light and Tintern Abbey both really caught my eye - and Dawn on the Wye... oh my is that a great shot! |

Should've mentioned I'm using Firefox 1.5 if it helps track down any bugs!

I'm running in 1280 by 1024 and the site looks fine. I'm guessing it doesn't support lesser resolutions. I'll have a play to help fix that and thanks for pointing it out ! |

Hi Dave,
I tried it on the new version of Firefox 1.5 and it seemed to work fine. If you have time, could you have another go and tell me what doesn't precisely work Thanks |

Well, for all your buttons on the left I get:

Hang on... Ok, if people are using NoScript plugin with firefox, tell them to turn it off. I should've figured that out first time myself. With NoScript turned off, the links work. It all looks very nice. I'd prefer a larger space to be given to the comments when they're "turned on" though... Nice site ![]() Dave. |
