opinions on webhosting

there seems to about a million and one different options for domain registrations and web hosts... but it's hard to judge reliability and customer service, etc. etc.

i'm looking for host that i can run pixel post on, so obviously php and mysql are a must. what do you guys recommend?

thanks!

I've been using godaddy.com and they've been great. Cheap too. 7.95 to register a domain for a year and 3.95/month to host. 500MB space with PHP and mysql support.

maybe siteground.com is interesting for you?

They have so much options, 1 GB space (millions of photos !) and they are even very cheap, 4$ a month...

I made good experience with them, reliable, friendly, competent

opinions on webhosting

I've been using godaddy.com for over a year now. I have my business site, my word blog, and my Pixelpost powered photoblog ( http://aspherical.foursevenfour.net/ ) hosted with them. Customer service is excellent, on the two occasions I needed help they responded quickly (within 12 hours) to emails.

thanks for all the replies! that definitely led me in the right direction.

i didn't even know where to begin!

so siteground is only 5 cents more than godaddy, and you get double the storage. i think that's where i'm headed.

Angryhosting (www.angryhosting.com)! For $2.50/month you can get 250mb of storage and 5gb of bandwidth. Not to mention, superb customer service.

Mention 'jennyd' as a referrer if you decide to sign up.
