same here

Same thing for me. The delete comment spam button doesn't work on these either. I don't understand that because I looked in the database and the comments are each just a bunch of links like
Code:
 <a href="somestupidpornsite">girls with monkeys</a>
or something similar and then at the end there are those random numbers.

Why does the clean comments button not catch these even when I put the specific words in my ban-list?

Do you think they have a script that is posting their comments in some format that the spam filter doesn't recognize. I see where people do that with spam emails sometimes to get around not being able to show images. They use unicode or something and the filters don't pick it up.

Ill try to public what I got right now as antispam comments addon.
It will take me an hour or something like that (still I must test it).

just one question concerning anti-spam-measures.. whill 1.5 final include anchors for plugins in "user-space" as it does in the admin section? (or did i miss something and they already exist?!)

just keeping busy myself with testing some stuff concerning spam and came to the conclusion that possibilities are very rare when handling the input at the comment fields without changing something in your code. (mainly cause addons become active after the main comment code was already parsed, therefore the question concerning user-land-anchors).
possibilty might be to "monitor" the input and take actions afterwards..(deleting stuff from db, aso) but i wanted it to be bit more shiny

1.5 wont have user_workspaces. I will be a future for next release. I was thinking about space before and after every important part of /index.php code.

Except to this there will be more changes, i.e. spliting whole /index.php to module files (i.e. for easier and faster updates).

I also just recently (as of last week) started getting a lot of SPAM in my comments. Before that, I had never received any in Pixelpost. I think it may be the same people that decided to start targeting Pixelpost. Here is what I always seem to get in my comments (or some variation):

"transvestite gallery big dick pics japanese pictures watersports gallery bizarre avi big dick pics watersports gallery family orgies porn hunks mpegs orgy hot D29AAB053F35C4BE"

"lesbo links watersports clips video real drunk dvds taboo watersports clips drunk dvds fat thumbs transvestite dvds asian hot D29AAB053F35C4BE"

"voyeur videos fisting dvds tranny hot punishment movies Gangbang vids fisting dvds punishment movies lesbien movies stories stores lingerie sexe D29AAB053F35C4BE"

It seems that the last series of letters/numbers are always the same. Anyone else with these numbers?

using these email addresses:
thumbs@avi.com
jgp@sexe.com
tgp@sexe.com
avi@gallery.com
links@movies.com
avi@sites.com
foto@thumbs.com
movies@foto.com
mpgs@thumbs.com

and using these as the URL:
http://xyu90bdsm.easyjournal.com/
http://xyu86comix.easyjournal.com/
http://xt18violent.proboards51.com/
http://xt44incest.proboards61.com/
http://xyforced.blogg.de/
http://xyextreme.blogg.de/
http://www.indiana.edu/~sris/SRISdis....cgi?read=1775
http://xyu50torture.easyjournal.com/
http://www.zorpia.com/xt23bestiality/

and these are some of the IPs:
202.88.129.254
82.160.42.120
200.122.153.2
62.152.117.132
85.186.33.239
208.194.225.150
61.73.63.146
210.210.133.66
213.249.155.235
68.87.66.153

All of my SPAM comments so far have been some variation of this, with very similar email addresses and comments. Even the URL has a pattern to it. Is this what other people have been getting too, and is there a way to track the spammers down? I'm ready to start fighting back. Down with spammers!

OK. Now there is my addon which secures against direct comments posting.

You can grab it here:
http://pixelpost.org/v1/index.php?x=...ds&details=165
and read a little more here:
http://forum.pixelpost.org/showthread.php?t=3773

Im thinking about future versions which will be much more powerful in fight with spam (i.e. CAPTCHA). Now it is simple but works quite OK.

PS Working addon you can watch at my site. Im also moderating all comments so dont be surprised if comment wont show up just after posting.

Ive seen class for it at phpclasses.org and it was much more powerful (i.e. generation of new image when you had problems with reading previous, what is quite common problem for people, limiting guessing, usage of few true type fonts at one image, ...).
I really wondering if it suits to all our needs and if it is the best what Ive seen till now - probably it is

Ill try to implement it to my addon and make complete hack for antispam.

Thumbs up Thanks for building a anti-Spam addon

HI GeoS,
that will be great. Yesterday in the evening I've deleted the comment-code from the image_template.html. I've got no SPAM last night!
