I have a request...more like a 'what if'
Ok, on my website (felloweskimo.net/photo), I have over 300 photos...and they all vary in width and height. None of them are over 800 pixels wide, but they all vary from 600-800, and the vertical ones vary from 350-500. Anyway, I want a new template. Problem is, I have a problem with vertical images being not so nice looking on the current template. It also leaves me very little room to write. I would like to be able to have two versions of a template, and when I upload the image in admin, be able to choose which version I want (vertical or horizonal). Here are examples:
<a href="http://www.felloweskimo.net/horizonal.jpg">Horizonal template</a> <a href="http://www.felloweskimo.net/vertical.jpg">Vertical template.</a> Can this be done with CSS? Does it require a hack? I do not know php very well...but if someone gives me clear directions I can follow them. Is this even possible? |

hi, fellow e!
This is for sure not done by css as it needs some additional field in the database table for storing this info so it is something for an Admin-Addon it is a good suggestion |

I saw something like this which is purely CSS based - no hacks in PHP needed - will try to search again

Uh, I have no idea what is causing it (the misdirection). Anyway, please let me know if you find out a way to accomplish this hack.

The Pixelgrain template does something similar to this, using an addon, but I don't know how to direct you to that addon in the absence of the main PP page.
