more technical info from my field of study (electrical engineering) indicate that the technology has surpassed moore law and it will do more! Not just doubling the speed but more!

IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) in June 2006 issue of its Spectrum magazine has published an article regarding this subject. It quotes:

By 2010 the "more Than Moore's Law" movement which focuses on system intergration rather than transistor density will lead to revolutionary mega funtion electronics.

Intel research has created a tri-gate transistor...basically doubling what they can already do...bam, another moores law thingy...lol
