Externally hosted images
Ok, sorry if this has already been answered, but for the life of me I could not find the search function.
In any case, what I'm curious about, is if I can use this software with externally hosted images? I have a flickr pro account, and I use it to host my images, rather than my rather pathetic hosting setup. So, the question is, is there a way to make it work on my site, but pointing to images hosted by flickr? Thanks, Ray |

No, in no case
the complete thing is written in that way that it administrates its own images in the folder /images and the relating thumbnails in the respective thumbnail folder when uploading the images they are processed, copied and moved, data is written into the database etc. and for this you need to be on your own server, what you think of seems to me like a linklist, with references to images from other servers... and that is not PixelPost  |

I want the full functionality of a photoblog, showing EXIF data, allowing comments etc, so it's a little more than a linklist ![]() But thanks for your answer. My search continues

u can use www.flickr.com + blogger.com. First version of my photoblog was with blogger.com (blogspot.com) and images were uploaded on flickr server. But I was not satisfied at all.
Nothing's like PixelPost! ![]() Ramin (not logged in) |
