Hi from the Faroe Islands (europe)
Hope someone is kind enough to answer my questions I want people to send in photos on a website im building, but i don't want the pictures to be visible on my website before iv accepted them. Is is possible with pixelpost to let people send in their pictures, but in a way that the pictures don't go public on my website before iv accepted them ? I also don't want people to coment on pictures, because iv not got time to keep an eye on if someone may offend someone - is the comment function in pixelpost optional ? - Is it possible in pixelpost to set the max size of an image, and how large the files max can be ? This is the website im talking about www.kikarin.com |

welcome!
some answers fast before breakfast: - PP is built as a single-user-photoblog, it is not a community-photo-blog. so we have not the tools to administer different users and their upload - please go to your PP admin area and check all the options in the Admin-Section, you will find a lot of options - take off comment-tag from your template will be the first to stop commenting |

would be great if the development team adjusted the system so it also could work in the way im talking about. By the way Connie.... i see in your photoblog there is only one picture for every date - is it not possible to add more than one picture to a date ? |

More than one photo a day
well, it is my principle not to show more than one photo on one page (so many ooos...)
I want to focus on the photo not the photos... but there is an addon which does what you want: more than one photo a day have a look in the download zone |

you could just create an upload page (even based on the same html template as your blog) where people can upload images of their likes to your server, than you can review these images (resize them if needed or perhaps can create the upload "tool" a way that it only accepts files with a max file-size, but i am n ot sure howmaybe JS??) and post it on your blog just if it was yours. The only thing that you don't need to upload them anymore, just refer to their already existing location on your server. Hm? does this makes sense?

It is enough to make an addon which can upload image, add row to special table and when image is accepted then move it to right place - _pixelpost table.
Pixelpost doesnt have any image size limitations. Whole limitation is your server and its power. |
