PHPMyStats
okay after reading a few comments on another site about if a person should change the image size to from 800 to 850 he got alot of comments both pro and con about it. i suggested that he get a script that lets him know what his viewers are using for there resolution rather than going by what the masses that are view the web from some site that just gives stats on the overall web viewing computers.
either way this is something that is a nice peice of software but needs some addons to work with pixelpost perfectly. anyways. things i think it needs an IP blocker - cause we all know we check our sites often enough we dont want your computers messing up the overall stats. an IP once - once an IP address is logged it doesn't add more stats - from looking at other pages of your photoblog - so IP record once only record again if settings change for IP address. http://phpmystats.org my working stats http://gregwilker.com/mystats if anyone can help cause i'm not that good at writing php... |

Greg,
what exactly you want to do? Do you want find out the average screen size of your users or do you want to generate the image dynamically when the user loads the page in this browser according to his screen resolution? :? |

just find out the screen res of my users.
with out it having to count them more than once. example ip 123 views my index.php page that displays my main image - the click on the image to go to the prev image - i dont want it to re count them now this is more a less a hack/addon for a program other than pixelpost but you all are the best php people i know and maybe we can add this info into the pixelpost next thing or write something like it so people can see what res there users are at what browsers and what os. etc im at work right now so ill make a more of a detailed post later of what more i'm looking for but either i hope ya get the jist of it. |
