Category drop-down box not functioning correctly

I am running Pixelpost 1.5 final, and installed the Page-by-page archive addon.

The Next and Previous links either side of the archive page numbers didn't work at first, but do after jdleung's updated paged_archive.php.

Except now (and I don't know if it's related to the update), when I pull down the category list, some data is missing from only some of the categories.

Any ideas?

you seem to be having some things in there replaced by img tags for a folder /smilies/ - do you have some sort of smilies script or addon installed somewhere? it's replacing things that end in ) it seems so that's probably your answer.
