I searched for a pixelpost logo to go with all the other logos you can put on a blog but couldn't find one. So I made my own

yes, this is a link to the developer forum, if you are logged in, you forget about that
it was just a hint... in version 1.4 we had logos like the button which I attach we took them out again, nobody liked that really ;=) buttons like this can be created easily with "image generators" or "buttonmakers", for example this: http://kalsey.com/tools/buttonmaker/ |

we don't currently have a logo. this is something we have discussed before but we've never really reached an agreementon a design i don't think.
obviously we'd be more than happy to look at anything the community throws at us.

Hi!
ok, i will throw this one to you . I played around a bit, i wanted to design a simple logo, because pixelpost is simple and easy to use. I think that is one of the big advantages of pixelpost. Then the logo should also be easy to remember. The pictogram on the logo is a very common symbol in photography: the focusing screen of a camera (german: Mattscheibe, Sucher). But this pictogram does not only stands for the focusing screen, it is also an abstract of a camera .There was no special input which colors to use, so i choosed strong colors, which should stay for: life, expression, vitality, and so on. This Logo is a bit in the now very popular web 2.0 style. For printing there should be a printing version of this logo (maybe without the shadow / gradient). But first the team or the community has to decide if that logo (or a modified version of this logo) should be taken. Enough Blabla now, here are the suggestions: Small Logo on white background Big Logo on white background Small Logo on black background Big Logo on black background I dont know if i should work this suggestions out - let me know. There are a few small things to do, for example adjusting the kerning between the letters. so, now i´m anxious what the community / team is thinking :-) andreas |

i think the idea is spot on - as you said the lettering needs some work but those are really good! you have my vote on those.
edit: for some reason i addressed this to connie, sorry andreas!
