How to fade text....

I have been googling around for a bit and I can't seem to find the solution to this question. How can I make it so that the text on my site appears very faint until mouse over where it will then become the 'normal' opacity and return to faint when mouse over is complete? I am guessing that some javascript will be in order and onmouseover will be in there somewhere, but I was wondering if a.) I am on the right track or b.) is there an easier way.

wait a minute! I just did a nother google search based on a rephrase and I didn't even think of this, css! Ha, I hope this works! (If I am wrong, please let me know ;-)
