technorati tags

so i grabbed the tags addon that's in the private forum and a friend of mine modified it so that when i type tags it creates technorati tag links like <a href="http://technorati.com/tag/pixelpost" rel="tag">pixelpost</a>. a pixelpost tag named <IMAGE_TECHNORATITAGS> is created and i inserted it into my template. if you check out the source everything looks totally kosher. except technorati isn't picking it up when they're pinged. it doesn't need to get added to the rss does it? technorati doesn't crawl the feed right?

so, could someone that's familiar with getting their technorati tags catalogued take a look at http://www.thinsite.net and let me know if there's something obviously wrong or if this is more of technorati trying to do more than they can with their current amount of resources.
