thumbnail row from one category

hi there, im new to pp
I need to show in the image_tamplate.html a row of thumbnails from just one category, so i can browse only that group of images

something like this:
<IMAGE_THUMBNAIL_ROW cat="people">

someone know how to do that? or if there is something done?
or where to make that reques ?
