Idea/Request: Email New Picture when Uploaded

Hello,

I'm using PixelPost for my photography website, http://www.bwphoto.net/sino/pic/

I was thinking that an addon that creates a newsletter-type list that users of PP can subscribe to. Whenever a new picture is uploaded, the plugin would send the picture to the subscribed users. That would ideally be a fancy-HTML email, with picture information etc. It could also have options, e.g. it could send an email per day if the PP photoblog admin is a busy guy, or an email per week with the updates, etc.

Now, I know other people would be interested in this too. Is there a developer interested in making such an addon?

You can use the RSS feed built into Pixelpost, and use Feedburner to deliver the e-mails.

FEEDBURNER works GREAT with PP. You can use a form or just a link.
Once you get an account on Feedburner go to PUBLICIZE then EMAIL SUBSCRIPTIONS - you can get both a link AND a form that you copy and paste into a PP page.

I combined RSS, FEEDBURNER onto one page called SUBSCRIBE on http://joemezz.com

FEEDBURNER creates a really nice email with each new photo I post .. even better it emails a photo and a link.....

try it .. it works really really well and you do not have to worry about adding/removing people or complying with spam laws.. feedburner takes care of everything .. FREE
