Custom Fields + POP3 Post
Hi All,
I recently converted from a MT blog to PP1.7.1 which is used as a day-to-day photoblog i.e. photos from our daily life to share with each other. Though PP is a single user platform, both my hubby & I would be able to post images to PP using pop3post addon by raminia. E.g. I take photos on my Blackberry & send as an email attachment. Works perfectly. I used Custom Fields addon by Klimin Andrew to create only 1 custom field: ID Name = Posted by Default value = Jenny, Chern Yi This works fine when I post New Images using admin interface and the custom field displays perfectly on my post: 31-Jan-2008 17:06:21 • 0 Comments • Category: [Family] • [custom field]Posted by: [Jenny][end of custom field] Now, my question is - I would like to insert a new field/function in pop3post to recognize the sender's email address and correspond it to the default value. E.g. If sender email = jenny@example.com, <CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUE_ID=1> = Jenny. If sender email = chernyi@example.com, <CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUE_ID=1> = Chern Yi. |

well, i've sent a message to both!! hopefully something can come out of it.
meanwhile, i've also finished integrating zenphoto into my site by altering zenphoto templates to PP templates. so now, my site has both a photoblog for daily postings as well as a photo gallery!! |
