After reading how people were hacking their core pixelpost files to get a random image I thought I'd see if I could make a quick solution that would not require any hacking - so here it is:
This addon will give you a random frontpage image WITHOUT hacking your pixelpost files. All you need to do is put the randomfrontpage.php file in your addons directory and place <RANDOMFRONT> on the FIRST line of your image_template.html file. In my initial testing it is working ok. Here's a Demo Download the Addon |

Random link in navigation bar
Hi Guys,
Great Add-on! I have what is probably a stupid question. All I am trying to do is put a "random" option in my navigation bar. I have uploaded the "random_image.php" add-on and turned it on, but nothing appears in the nav bar. Does it not work with certain templates? I am using Smokescreen, but it also doesn't seem to work with other templates. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated. Thanks! |
