Addon: maxiMEE lite Fullscreen viewer

Hello,
there is this thread where I was asking for opinions, but anyway, here is the addon. (I couldn't wait )

What is maxiMEE lite?

It displays your photos in Flash's fullscreen mode.

You have no idea what I'm talking about? Visit my pixelpost installation to see it at work.

http://andreas-wehr.de/photos

There is the fullscreen-button on top and the image itself can be clicked, too.

Detailed installation/modification instructions can be found in the included readme file or the maxiMEE help pages..

Download

You can download it (there will always be the newest version available) at maximee.de or inside the pixelpost repository

have fun

Andreas

congrats Andreas for your first Addon!
It looks great in your blog and I think the idea is very useful, considering the fact that more and more pixelpost features are distracting more and more from the photo itself...

Very nice addon. I was wondering if you can add some navigation to it? Like previous and next?

Thanks for your replies.

Pixelpost is great and it's really fun to work with! (I had to say this )

I'm interested in all your ideas, and the navigation is definitely a good one.
If you open the maxiMEE (non lite) preview inside the Coppermine Gallery you can see the navigation control.
DEMO HERE

I think I will do it this way again

Ok,
I see some downloads were started and I know one blog using it right now. That's a success, at least for me

Today I had some time for the Addon and added navigation buttons.
These buttons are transparent PNGs (again) and can be exchanged, if you want to.
The white transparent background is flash, of course.

Have a look at my blog. (today I noticed: I'll need a testing blog installation )
Does it work?

Well,
not this interesting, eh?

I finished version 0.2 today.

News:
  • optional navigation buttons
  • new close-button overlay in fullscreen mode (there is no ugly tooltip any more)
  • version checking inside the pixelpost admin panel
  • language-images (de.png,en.png etc) are placed inside the lang folder now!
  • visual effects added/modified

as always, you can see it working inside my personal blog.

Any comments?

thanks, and have a nice day
Andreas

Hi fredxeric,
as I use swfobject I'm not dealing with the flash-installation really...

Anyway, I experienced a similar behavior with IE 7, it worked there after a reboot.
EDIT: tried IE7 again. You're right, wont finish the installation or whatever. Will have a look at.

Which browser do you use?

Thank you very much for your help!

Andreas

I changed the way swfobject embeds the Flash-file.

Does it work now? Here with IE7 the problem is gone...

You can download the modified version here:
