Thanks !
Could you tell me which files you've changed ? It's quite tiring to have to redo the full template installation and modifications every time you create a new version... ;-) |

Sure, no problem. The CSS has changed and image_template.html has changed.
to be more precise: <div id="titlebar"><IMAGE_TITLE></div> used to be WITHIN <div id="photo">... it's been moved outside of it. (meaning it now comes right BEFORE <div id="photo">... I fully realize how much of a pain the changing is. Unfortunately I don't really know how to make life easier when it comes to that. I do however think things are stabilising now. I will surely NOT add any new features until version 1.0 is out. Just bugfixes and accessibility enhancements. Unfortunately those CAN affect lots of files.... The best tip I can provide: Use a text editor that can 'diff' files. In this editor, compare the files from version X to files from version X-1 and you will see exactly what the changes are. If you use a Mac: TextMate can do this for you. I'm sure lots of Windows Programming editors can do it as well. Hope this helps! |

Thanks for these precisions
![]() For the moment, I compare the different versions with WordPad, the basic Windows rich text editor... not always funny... But the two versions of the css files are really appreciated ;-) Thanks again for your great work, and don't give up, we're with you ^^ |

TheMarco: nice to see the cropping bug is corrected.
few comments/questions: - it would be nice to reduce the content of the footer. You put: Quote:
Quote:
- A few strings are not dynamic, so translation is not easy to complete. for example "Post Comment" on the submit button of comment form. By the way, you might want to write a comment into l18n.php saying that some strings needs to be translated in js/l18n.js - Non commercial licence. does the non-commercial licence apply to the use of the template, or to the template it-self? Quote:
- config file welcome. I would love being able to disable the fade-in for the pictures, the DM_THUMBNAIL_ROW, ... just by editing a few lines config file. What would be really great. Thanks, you do a great job. |

@patpro: Changing the footer is perfectly fine as far as I know, including according to the CC license. In face, the CC license states you should give credit. It doesn't mean you can't change the way you give credit.
Of course I'd appreciate it if people leave it in the footer but if they have it in the about section or somewhere else, CC doesn't stop them really I think. As long as the fact that I'm the creator of the theme can be found somewhere on the site this requirement is satisfied. In a future update I'll change the footer a bit so it can accommodate more lines in case people want more stuff in their footer. I like your idea of configurability. This should be easy to do. I'll keep it on my list! About the commercial use: it means using the template to make money. Selling it is out of the question alltogether. The only one selling it is me ;-) Note that 'commercial use' is a stretchy term. If you're some photographer who occasionally gets small bits of cash for a pic and you ask me about a license I'll probably say it's fine to use it for free or for some small donation. If you run some business in which the template plays some sort of significant role which makes significant amounts of money I suggest you pay the $100USD commercial license fee. I'm not gonna be anal about it or anything. I trust on people's honesty. $100 isn't much given the amount of time that went into this template (and time that will still go in it as I'm improving it) and if you make significant money using it I think it's fair to compensate me a bit If you don't make any money with your photos (like myself) it's of course totally free.I will look into the other issues mentioned as well. |
