Additional fields in the admin section?

I'm doing a photoblog thing with two friends, and would like to have a field in the admin like "name of photographer", that value saved in the DB along with the image, and a posibility to get that value with a tag in the template.

So that i in that way could show what images are captured by who...

Someone who have done this or know how to?

as until now this photoblog is very "egocentric" this is not realized

but I think only the name will not be enough to implement, as soon as one feature like this is there, the need for multiple user administration will grow, I think...

is really the name enough?

a new table could be added for pixelpost_users to store users info.
