Auto resize won't resize

I have installed auto resize and am trying to upload/resize a large image file (about 3MB in size) to my photoblog. I don't want to upload the original file, just the resized version. But when I check the results, all that has been uploaded is the original large version, no resized version or thumbnail.

Can anyone suggest what might be causing this problem?
