Could this be server related problem or what? I have tried all I can think of to make this work but without success, so strange!

update: my slideshow seems to work on IE, so this seems to be some firefox problem - maybe some coding which firefox doesn't understand but IE does?

Help with error message...

While trying to link to the slideshow this is the message i get...

Not Found
The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

The path shows up correctly in the address bar but i get the error page. I had also set the slideshow page as my entry page with the entry page addon and it worked fine .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Works in IE but not firefox 3.0

I also can't get dfGallery to work in Firefox 3.0. It works just fine in IE 7. Can anyone shed any light on why this might be the case?

Thanks

Hello,
Can someone give me an example of a new page to show the dfGallery. The gallery is working but only "within" an excisting page. I need it to run in a new page but i don't know how to. Secondly i need to know how to link to the slideshowpage from my other pages. Can someone help please.

Greetz,
André

In order to use dfGallery on a new page you must create another html file inside your template directory (where image_template.html, browse_template.html, about_template.html are placed) and put the code for dfGallery inside. The best way to do this is to create a copy of image_template.html, rename it for example to slideshow_template.html, delete the html code for showing images and thumbnails from the new html file and put the <DFGALLERY...> instead. After, you'll have yourblog.com/index.php?x=slideshow as the slideshow for your page.

dfGallery possible fix:

I've replied to this thread because I've seen some people complaining about dfgallery not working on their websites and since I've had the same problem, I thought posting a possible solution might help.

This is what I've done in order to make the slideshow work:

- installed dfgallery following the steps mentioned in the documentation;
- installed this addon (Media RSS for PicLens with all blogged photos);
- opened dfgallery's gallery.xml and in the <albums> section I've added this:
Code:
<album title="Pixelpost" description="Pixelpost Album" type="mediarss" url="http://www.website.com/index.php?x=rss"></album>
- entered pixelpost admin and under options-rss/atom feed settings I've selected "Show full size pictures";

That's it! I hope it'll work for you as well.

All the best!

PS. Make sure you replace website.com/index.php?x=rss with the url of your website.
