Lightbulb successfully installed all of the sudden images vanished

Hello,
First of all, I'm a novice and for this reason I might not be able to understand very well all the technical explanations so, a friend of mine who is more skilled than me will help me out with your answers.
We've installed Pixelpost and everything was good, than all of the sudden the thumbnails and images disappeared, living a empty placeholder there.
Here are some of the screens I’ve got. The file names are where thay are located.

What did we do wrong? where should we correct?

Keep in mind that I'm a photographer ( entuziast ) and don't know too much about administrating/editing a web page , so if anyone can help I can provide ftp login and everything...

Thanks a lot!

Please check the image and thumbnail locations in your adminpanel. You can find these settings under Options. Make sure the imagepath is set to ../images/ and the thumbnailpath is set to ../thumbnails/

Also, login via FTP and verify that the images & thumbnails folders exist, and are readable.

ok, I though it was working but now I encounter a weird behavior.
1-I checked in FTP and the folders are existing with CHMOD 0777 - done
2 (a)-I updated in the Options menu under image path & thumbnail path the following:
/home/fotocipr/public_html/images/
/home/fotocipr/public_html/thumbnails/
When I do this in the general info tab I get :
Image Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES. Current CHMOD: 0777
Thumbnails Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES. Current CHMOD: 0777
When I check with the website - it doesn't load correctly the thumbnails in the site (they do not appear, I only get empty frames of thumbs). The images appear thou.

2 (b)-If I update in the Options menu under thumbnail path the following:
http://www.fotocip.ro/thumbnails/, in the general info tab I get :
Thumbnails Directory: Does Not Exist (should be /home/fotocipr/public_html/thumbnails) - ERROR - Thumbnails folder not writable!
You must set correct permissions on this folder or you will not be able to upload any images.
Set the folder to chmod 777 (read, write and execute permissions for owner, group and world).
But, this time the thumbnails appear correct, although if I delete a new posted image I get: Post deleted. Image deleted. Could not delete thumbnail. You have to do that some other way, with your ftp software perhaps. AND it deletes the thumb .
Another weird behavior is that if I load delicious template it puts the thumbs in the left side and I have no categories to select from.

I get very confused.....
Could be the SQL database? It seems something is wrong in there.

Thanks in advance.

Read Jay's post again. Where you set the paths for the images and thumbnails folders in the PP admin, it should read exactly like the bold text below:

../images/

../thumbnails/

And a mention on which browser it occurs would be helpful.
