Angry Cannot upload images on fresh installation

Hi there again,

seems i am having yet another problem getting pixelpost to work (the first one was this- fixed it by reinstalling pp).

So, now all seems correct (i even enabled the flashcrop addon) but, when i try to upload an image, i get the message:
Error Something's wrong in file upload!

After a reading in the forums, i checked that in the "general info" tab, the "paths" table, goes as follows:

Guessed imagepath: /www//pixel/images/
Configured Imagepath: ../images/
Guessed thumbnailpath /www//pixel/thumbnails/
Configured Thumbnailpath ../thumbnails/
Image Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES. Current CHMOD: 0777
Thumbnails Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES. Current CHMOD: 0777

My url is orestis.vndv.com/pixel/index.php (it is of course, blank)

If additional info is needed on how to get this one solved, i will provide it at once!

Thanks!!!

I don't know if this is your problem or not, but make sure you upload your photos in JPG format. And also make sure your photos are resized down before uploading. (e.g. 700x700, not 12,000x12,000)

thanks for the reply!

I do try to upload in jpg format. Also, i have tried two different sizes: 800x573 and 600x430...
Furthermore,i tried to use different file and/or image titles.

Are you sure the folders are chmod 777? On some systems Pixelpost might be off saying they are, but in reality they aren't.
